Brent Ehrler | Bass University Seminar Speaker

Fred Roumbanis | Bass University Seminar Speaker

A lot of what Fred Roumbanis knows about bass fishing, he learned before he ever set foot in a bass boat. He grew up in the Bay Area region of California with several golf course-type ponds and small reservoirs within bicycling distance and could usually be found at one or another on most afternoons, and all day on weekends, during breaks in his school schedule and throughout his summer vacations.

Ott DeFoe | Bass University Seminar Speaker

Arthur (Ott) F. DeFoe was born on September 17, 1985 to Bud and Erieka DeFoe in Knoxville, TN.  When he was 9 years he took a trip to Okeechobee, FL and that's where his love for bass fishing began. 

Ott fished his first tournament that fall with his dad and they did not catch a fish! From that next spring til fall they fished in over 50 tournaments.  They did not have a lot of success but that did not stop him from trying.  It took over two years of fishing local tournaments before they ever got their first check.  When Ott turned 12 he joined the East Tennessee Bass Anglers club.  It was there that he learned most of the skills he possesses today.

Peter Thliveros is renown for utilizing the Carolina Rig and credits it for the majority of his $2 mil. plus in winnings.   Born in Sanford, Florida, in 1954, Bernie Schultz spent his youth along the shores of Lake Markham, and the Wekiva and St. Johns Rivers. Having few childhood companions within reach of his family’s lakeside home, he entertained himself by spending countless hours on the water or in the woods, then sketching those experiences.

      At age 14, his parents relocated to Miami, Florida, where he discovered the world of inshore saltwater angling. His father owned and operated Sunny Acres Fish & Poultry Market in Coconut Grove. This opened the door for fishing adventures with the commercial fishermen that supplied his father’s market. During this period, he was also involved with surfing and competitive swimming. These interests carried him to many distant places where he also fished. From the Outer Banks of Cape Hatteras to the islands of the Caribbean and west to Mexico and California, Schultz quickly developed a passion for places where the water meets the shore.

Jeff Kriet has been a professional on the Bassmaster Elite Series Tour since 2001. And, Jeff has already qualitied for the 2012 Bassmaster Elite Series!
