Bass University co-founder and longtime pro angler Pete Gluszek has signed a deal to represent Gamma fishing line for the 2013 season. Gluszek tried out Gamma products in 2012 and used their Edge Fluorocarbon during his victory at the 2012 BASS Northern Open on Cayuga Lake.

Gluszek first became familiar with Gamma last year when working a show in support of the Bass University, where he picked up some samples at the Gamma booth.

According to Gluszek, the relationship was a no brainer, saying “Once I started using Gamma, I was immediately impressed with both the strength and castability of the line through a variety of conditions. It held up unbelievably well and I didn’t lose a single fish during my win at the open, so to say I’m sold on the quality is a bit of an understatement. I’m looking forward to a long relationship with Gamma and using their line definitely gives me peace of mind heading into the Classic.”

Black Night Industries (manufacturer of Gamma Line) President Dale Black is also thrilled about the addition of Gluszek to their staff, saying “This year was extremely humbling for us. At the Open that Pete won, we also had the second and third place finishers (Stephen Browning and James Niggemeyer respectively), and we also had Brent Chapman’s Angler of the Year win. Adding Pete to the staff makes sense on a lot of levels. He is not only a great tournament fisherman, but he‘s also dedicated to teaching through the Bass University, and we really like that.”

Gluszek will join what is already a pretty stout tour-level staff at Gamma, including the aforementioned Chapman, Browning and Niggemeyer, fellow Elite Series Pros Randy Howell, and Kota Kiriyama as well as on the FLW side; Luke Clausen, Randall Tharp and Anthony Gagliardi.
